We believe that neighborhood transformation begins when people decide to get involved. That’s why we’re looking for volunteers eager to learn, share, and build alongside the community.
Through home improvement days in Cazucá, you can contribute your time and energy to help make homes safer and more dignified places to live. At the same time, you’ll gain firsthand experience in community organizing and local development.

Proyecto Escape is a non-profit foundation located in Altos del Pino, a neighborhood in Soacha’s Comuna 4.
More than 26 years ago, residents of Altos del Pino joined forces to improve their neighborhood and the living conditions of their families. Since then, the community has promoted initiatives focused on housing, education, culture, sports, and environmental stewardship.
Most of the people who lead and support Proyecto Escape are local residents or have strong ties to the area. This gives us a firsthand understanding of the community’s needs and allows us to work alongside residents to develop sustainable, long-term solutions.
In 2015, Proyecto Escape was legally established as a non-profit foundation, building on years of community work and reaffirming its commitment to the social and territorial development of Altos de Cazucá.
In addition to improving housing conditions through home improvement projects and the construction of community spaces, we develop programs in education, music, sports, and the environment that build skills and create opportunities for children, young people, and mothers in the community. All our initiatives promote values such as solidarity, respect, participation, and teamwork.
Our purpose is to strengthen community ties and a sense of belonging while promoting community development that contributes to a more dignified, inclusive, and sustainable environment. We work alongside local residents to create opportunities and improve living conditions together.

Families in Altos de Cazucá face daily challenges related to housing quality, access to adequate spaces for community development, and the limited opportunities offered by a territory built primarily through the efforts of its own inhabitants.
At Proyecto Escape, we work together with the community to improve housing, strengthen educational processes, and create spaces that promote the well-being and development of children, youth, and families.
